The lotus flower symbolises hope, purity and a path to enlightenment. This analogy relates to the human spirit and the journey that we take in life. The seed of the lotus flower is buried deep in the mud, the seed travels from the darkness into the light. The long stem rises above the surface water, representing inner strength and perseverance against adversity. Once the journey is complete the lotus flower will always blossom, symbolising growth and determination. The world is full of suffering and just like the human spirit; in order to grow we must encounter difficulties and obstacles. This human experience can help us rise above so we can gain wisdom, develop and choose the right path.

My name is Han Piggott; I am a professionally qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I provide counselling in Cardiff, on an open ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of empowering you to enhance your life and live it more fully.
I can offer a confidential and non-judgmental environment, where I hope we can build a collaborative and therapeutic relationship. This I feel is the foundation of working effectively together. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, that you should have the control and the freedom to make your own choices. I also recognise the potential for you to find your own meaning and path in life. My role is to help you explore your concerns, with a hope that you can gain greater clarity, insight and perspective in order to find a way forward.
I believe strongly in the importance of professional boundaries and competence. As a member of the BACP, I subscribe to their Code of Ethics and I am subject to the complaints and conduct process. I also attend regular Supervision and I am committed to my professional development.
I have my own private practice, working from R&R Consulting Centres in the Heath area. I run this alongside working as a Wellbeing Practitioner and a Sessional Counsellor for Cardiff University. I have also worked as a Counsellor for the NHS working in Primary Care, based in GP practices all around the Cardiff area.
